Oikoumene — is a term originally used in the Greco-Roman world to refer to the inhabited universe (or at least the known part of it). Inhabited Universe People tend to illuminate the places they live in, be it houses or streets or cities. And the more light there is around, the closer is darkness and mystery outside. So, strangely, the edge of civilized world becomes almost tangible, lies somewhere between the nearest lamppost and small patch of wood behind the highway. This is ongoing project.
